The Summerland Lady Bobcats gave it their all in an away game Friday night, Dec. 13, but ultimately fell 36-33 to Niobrara/Verdigre in a tightly-contested matchup. Both teams battled for control throughout the evening, with the home team pulling away in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
The game began as a defensive slugfest, with neither team finding much rhythm offensively. Niobrara/Verdigre held a slim 10-9 lead after the first quarter and carried that momentum into halftime, leading 14-12.
