Two school board members who did not run for re-election were recognized during the Dec. 11 board of education meeting.
Steven Thiele and Ed Nordby received clocks, in commemoration of their terms on the Summerland Public School Board of Education. Superintendent Molly Aschoff made the presentation.
When asked how long they had served, Thiele responded six years and Nordby, eight. Thiele was on the Clearwater board and Nordby served Ewing. Both were selected for the Summerland board when the district was formed in 2020.
