Holidays are about traditions. Summerland third-grade students share their favorite Christmas memories.
My tradition is Santaland. My whole family goes to Creighton. We tell Santa what we want. I want a teddy bear this year. I like listening to the radio music as we drive around. I like the blue lights the best. It's the best tradition in the whole universe.

Going to my uncle's to remember him is my favorite Christmas tradition. First, we go to my other uncle's house and play at their house. Next, we eat at my grandpa's brother's house and eat food. Then, we get some time to play with my cousins and others eat more food. Last, we open presents, youngest to oldest, and say thank you and goodbye as they leave. It's a happy time.

My family's Christmas tradition is I wrestle my aunt, uncle, and my dad. I pinned my aunt easily. I took down my uncle. I lost to my dad. I was like a bear when I wrestled. My mom was too scared to wrestle. My heart raced when I wrestled. My family's tradition is the best!

My favorite Christmas tradition is playing a Carbles tournament. We do this every year. I like it because my team is always close to winning by getting all our marbles home. I like being on my uncle's team! We have three people on a team always. Sometimes we have a snack break of cookies. After the snack break we play again. That's my favorite Christmas tradition.

Every year we go to Santaland with my grandparents. We have supper at Subway. We also get ice cream. I got chocolate chip cookie dough. Then, we go to Santaland and drive through it. The sleeping Santa is my favorite! Last, we go in Sant's workshop and have hot chocolate and meet Santa. I asked for a dirt bike this year. I like doing this every year.

My favorite Christmas tradition is going to Santaland. First, we go through once and look at all the boxes. Second, we go into the workshop. The hot chocolate is as hot as the sun. Then, we go home and eat supper as a family. In conclusion, Santaland is the best!

My favorite family tradition is when my mom has a party and everyone comes to my house. First, we get food and silverware. Then, we get presents for people and Mom wraps them. Next, we invite people to our house. Last, we open presents and eat the food and have a great time. One time we got surprised and two people said they were having babies! It's the best day ever!

Going to the store is my favorite family tradition for Christmas. First, my entire family buys presents for all the aunts, uncles, and cousins coming. Then, we buy food to cook for Christmas. My favorite is the meat. Third, we pay and go back home listening to Spanish music. When we get home we grab all the presents and food and take it inside. Last, we wrap all the presents we bought. The wrapping paper for the presents is as pretty as a diamond. This is my favorite tradition.

My favorite tradition for Christmas is when my cousins come home. First, we eat supper with soup and cookies. Next, we open presents. Our baby cousins go first, the middle, and then oldest. Then, we play a lot of games like cards or Candyland. Finally, my cousins spend the night at my grandma's house and I spend the night also. This is all about my favorite tradition for Christmas.

My favorite family tradition is going on a scavenger hunt for cookies. First, we go to my grandma's house. We eat supper and play a card game. Then, we start finding the notes my grandma hid. The funniest clue was "Where the pig sleeps." It was my room!! When we find the cookies we drink hot cocoa. It is the best time of the year!!

My favorite Christmas tradition is attending the Ladies' Holiday Tea. My grandma, mom, and I all attend. The tea is in the evening on the first Sunday of December. I like going because we get to dress up. My favorite part is the living Christmas card and the music. Me and Jack fight about if it should be a little under done or a little over done and I get to eat them. Yum! In conclusion, that is why it is my favorite family tradition.

My family's favorite Christmas tradition is going to both of my family's grandparent's. We go to one grandma's on the 23rd of December and the other one on the 24th. At one of my grandma's house we lift up a cup and there is money, candy, or nothing inside it. It is my favorite tradition because we have a lot, lot of fun!
