Summerland's one-act performance of Jerome McDonough's "Dirge" earned a super rating at the C1-4 district competition, held Dec. 4 in Atkinson.
Coach Julie Harley said five cast members received outstanding performance recognition, including Lenora Kester, Raina Krebs, Carlee Livingston, Mathew Umphress and Aubrey Parker.
Summerland received 166 of 180 rating points from the pool of three judges. Overall, the team finished tied for fifth and, based on judges' preference, ended in seventh place.
Summerland's technical crew received 54 points for its contributions to the production, finishing fifth.
Lutheran High Northeast claimed the team title and will advance to state competition.
