The Upper Elkhorn Natural Resources District (UENRD) is accepting applications until January 10, 2025 for the state's Nitrogen Reduction Incentive Program. Producers in qualifying areas have the potential to be paid for reducing their nitrogen application amounts by the lesser of 40lbs or by 15%.
Applicants can receive a payment of $15 per acre for up to two fields with a maximum combined total of 280 certified irrigated acres. Applications in the UENRD will be awarded on a first come first serve basis and must meet the UENRD compliance requirements.
