Effective Thursday, Dec. 5, the Bank of Orchard was merged into Cornerstone Bank.
Bill Kester will serve as vice president and manager of the branch. Other Orchard employees include Heidi Blomenkamp, Mary Erb, Gage Clifton and Andrea Williby.

With this addition, Cornerstone has 48 banking locations in 39 communities, along with 18 insurance locations. Other locations include: Albion, Ashton, Aurora, Bartlett, Beaver Lake, Bradshaw, Central City, Clay Center, Clearwater, Columbus, Creighton, Davenport, Edgar, Franklin, Geneva, Glenvil, Grand Island, Guide Rock, Hampton, Harvard, Henderson, Hildreth, Malmo, Marquette, McCool Junction, Monroe, Murray, North Loup, Polk, Rising City, St. Edward, Shelton, Stromsburg, Sutton, Tilden, Waco, Wilcox and York. As of Nov. 30, Cornerstone Bank had $2.7 billion in assets and is a wholly owned subsidiary of First York Ban Corp.
