NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT 22-PP-003

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Dec. 9, 2024, at 7 p.m., at the fire hall meeting room, the Village of Clearwater, Nebraska, will hold a public hearing concerning the activities of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development for a Community Development Block Grant and to give citizens the opportunity to be heard regarding the planning grant, 22-PP-003.

The Village of Clearwater was awarded CDBG Planning funds of $53,000 for conducting and adopting a Downtown Revitalization planning grant. Specifically, $50,000 was used for developing and adopting a DTR plan. $3,000 was awarded for grant administration. The Village of Clearwater has provided the required match of $5,000 for the planning project activities.

To date, $58,500 has been used for planning activities and $3,000 has been used for general administration of the grant. No persons, businesses or farms were displaced as a result of CDBG activities.

All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing at which time you will have an opportunity to be heard regarding the grant at fire hall meeting room, 624 Main St., Clearwater, Nebraska. Written and oral testimony will also be accepted at the public hearing scheduled for 7 p.m., Dec. 9, fire hall meeting room, 624 Main St., Clearwater, Nebraska. Written comments addressed to Angie Hupp, Village Clerk, at P.O. Box 116, Clearwater, Nebraska, 68726, will be accepted if received on or before Monday, Dec. 9.

Accommodations will be made for persons with disabilities and non-English speaking individuals provided that a four-day notice is received by the Village of Clearwater.
