McLain, Ahlers top write-ins for school board race

Two new members will join the Summerland Public School Board of Education in January.

Chelsi McLain was the top write-in candidate, receiving 154 votes in Antelope County; 140, Holt County; three in Knox County and seven in Wheeler County.

Ryan Ahlers finished second, with 187 Antelope County votes and 61 in Holt County.

McLain and Ahlers join incumbent Nate Schwager, who received 927 votes.

Hailey Schlecht received 242 votes, with 184 from Antelope County; 55 from Holt County; one in Knox County and two from Wheeler County.

Seth Snodgrass received 57 votes, including 47 from Antelope and eight from Holt County voters.
