Seniors share their most memorable moment on the court and what they'll miss

Summerland Bobcat volleyball seniors were asked to reflect on a favorite memory from their volleyball career and what they will miss most about the sport.

Bailey Ahlers: "Our Bayard game was the most memorable game. We went into the game thinking we were going to play a five set game. The game was so fast and nobody figured that we would win in three sets. All of us had so much fun on the court during the game. I will miss playing with my friends and all the fun times we had on the court. I will also miss the bus rides on the way back from games because we always had music playing and we had some amazing conversations."

Ella Bolling: "The most memorable game that I played was against St. Mary's my junior year. We had lost the first two sets and we came back and beat them in five. I loved this game because it showed our team chemistry and all of our potential. 1 thing that I am going to miss the most in volleyball is all of the friends that I have made and being able to see my friends from other schools and playing against them."

Talya Nilson: "I think the most memorable game for me was my junior year when we played Bayard. It was so significant to me because when I was younger I was the volleyball manager for years and always dreamed of going to state so being able to use this passion during the game and then feeling all of the emotions I felt during and after the game. I will definitely miss the girls I played with the most in volleyball. I became so close with so many of them and knowing that this was my last year to play with them really makes me sad, but I'm very thankful I got to play with so many amazing people."

Jaycee Reynolds: "My most memorable game is the game that got us to state last year. This stands out because I remember how happy and excited everyone was that we made it. I will miss just playing volleyball and the excitement of it."

Ava Rittscher: "My favorite game was the game against Bayard because it was a game most people thought we were going to lose but they ended up winning letting us go to state. I will must playing with my TeamMates the most. "

Lydia Robertson: "My favorite game in my career was last year our district final vs. undefeated Bayard, making our way to state! I will miss the coaches and the environment of the team the most!"

Sarah Wiese: "The most memorable game would be the district final against Bayard because we were not expected to win the game, but believed as a team that we could win. It really showed our teamwork and confidence in each other. I will miss game days with my team. The girls are so fun, and I enjoyed riding on the bus and just being together as a team."
