Summerland will advance to the quarterfinal in the Class D1 state football playoffs after taking care of business against South Loup, 46-0. The teams met Nov. 1, in a contest played at home.
Michael Koenig threw for 198 yards, connecting with Sam Cheatum for 140 yards and four catches. Alec Schindler reeled in two passes for 51 yards.
Mathias Wagner carried the ball seven times for 66 yards. Koenig added another 40 on nine carries. Saul Cruz ran four times for 15 yards.
Ethan Kester finished with 11 tackles, including four for losses. Logan Kester and Keaton Thiele each added 10 tackles to the cause.
The Bobcats will travel to Crofton, Nov. 8, for the quarterfinal match up. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
