Civics, bargaining top priorities at upcoming board meeting

Unless something drastic occurs in the next week, when the Summerland Public School Board of Education is slated to meet, members will take action on three items.

The board is scheduled to meet Oct. 16, at 7 p.m., in the board room.

The first item of business will be a report from the American civics Committee meeting.

The Summerland Education Association will be considered as the bargaining agent for the district's non-supervisory certificated staff for the 2026-27 contract year.

Policy updates will also be considered.
