Hills, wind don't deter Bobcat runners

Bobcat junior and senior high cross country teams traveled to Crofton, Thursday, for the Warrior Invite.

In the boys division, 86 runners participated. Luke Kester finished 35th, running 21:31.15; Zander Cepel, 50th, 25:33.02; and Jorden Cox, 57th, finishing in 32:05.48.

In the girls' division, Lenora Kester set the pace for the Lady Cats. She ended 21st, after completing the course in 24:39.78. Carlee Livingston ran 26:14.70, finishing 32nd, while Aubrey Parker placed 29th. She ran 28;22.24. Sixty competitors ran the course.

The Bobcat junior high girls' team finished fifth in team standings, powered by Isabella Kester, who ran the lap in 8:36.17. Taylon Bertschinger ran 10:11.04, finishing 38th; Ali Sonnefelt, 11:43.41, 48th; Cadence Soper, 11:45.65, 49th; and Jaden Robinett, 14:07.06, 58th. Fifty-nine runners participated.

Dyaln Gray led the junior high boys' effort, finishing 25th. He ran 8:51.81. Max Shrader ended in 32nd, with a time of 9:21.69, and Austin Cepel ended in 42nd place, running 12:42.80. Forty-four runners completed the course.
