Lanny D. Billings

Funeral services for Lanny D. Billings, 86, of El Paso, Texas, will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 12, at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater, with Rev. Chad Boggs officiating. Burial will be in Orchard Hill Cemetery in Orchard. Visitation will be prior to the service from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 12, at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater.

Lanny died Sept. 4, 2024, in El Paso, Texas.

Lanny Dee Billings was born on Feb. 25, 1938, to Harold and Eva (Holiday) Billings at Orchard. He was born and raised in Orchard and attended Orchard High School. Lanny was united in marriage to Lillian Cederburg in November 1954 in Orchard. They lived on the farm southeast of Orchard and were divorced.

He married Judy Glover in 1983 and later divorced. On May 14, 1995, he married Sharon Jones. They moved to Clearwater in 2003 and the Long Pine-Ainsworth area until he retired to El Paso.

He loved to dance and buying and trading antiques. Lanny enjoyed buying cattle and raising breeding heifers throughout his life. His love was antique John Deere tractors and motors. For fun, he loved pickle cards and going to the "library" with Lorraine. Lanny's life was buying and selling something.

He is survived by companion, Lorraine McKay; children, Bonnie Smith of Seward and Ron (Kathy) Billings of Orchard; 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Lanny is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joann Williamson; daughter, Donna Billings; niece, Nancy Williamson; son-in-law, Jeff Smith; and wives, Lillian Serna and Sharon Billings.
