Summerland homecoming court, activities announced

Homecoming festivities for Summerland Public School kick off Sunday, Sept. 8, with a bonfire at the rodeo arena in Clearwater.

Fun and games are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Each class has been assigned a class color. Seniors will wear white; juniors, pink; sophomores, black; freshman, blue; and junior high, yellow.

Dress-up days have been set and will be the same for all classes.

Monday, Sept. 9 is 'Merica Day. Students are asked to dress in red, white and blue.

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, grab a friend and dress alike for Twin Day.

Wear a favorite jersey on Wednesday, Sept. 11, for Jersey Day.

Look for a variety of decades to be represented on Thursday, for Throwback Day.

Deck out in Carolina blue, black and silver on Friday, Sept. 13 to show support for the Bobcats.

Class attendants and royalty candidates were announced Aug. 30.

Senior queen candidates include Yazlin Zermeno, Lydia Robertson, Bailey Ahlers and Talya Nilson.

Parker Napier, Keaton Thiele, AJ Hobbs and Gavin Whiting are vying for king.

Class attendants are Kanyon Allemang and Lane Sanne, freshmen; Breckyn Bergman and Alec Kester, sophomores; and Kenzie Sanne and Bennet Flenniken, juniors.

Royalty will crowned during a 9:30 a.m., pep rally on Sept. 13.

School will dismiss at 1 p.m. Lunch will be served.

The football team will face Madison at 2:30 p.m.

From 8 to 11 p.m., a homecoming dance will be held for senior high school students at the school.
