Cybersecurity topic of October 31 event

Administration personnel and IT professionals are invited to take part in a cyber-ready community game.

The event, hosted by North Central District Health Department, on Oct. 31 from 1 to 4 p.m., at Northeast Community College, in O'Neill, will focus on health care, public health, financial agencies, city and county governments, utility providers, emergency management and private business and industry.

Danielle Roessler, emergency response coordinator for NCDHD, said, "Through game play, players learn aspects of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's cybersecurity framework."

Melanie Thompson,director of risk management for Northeast Community College, will assist with the workshop.

While the event is free of charge, registration is required.
