Eminent domain concerns
Dear Editor:
The Nebraska Constitution states there will be no eminent domain for private gain. Period. But there are plenty of interlopers who choose to ignore that. By allowing public/private partnerships we see the beginning of Fascism. You know, “for the greater good” and disregard the rights of private property.”
Right now, there are four aircraft staging out of the ONeill airport flying at 300’ all day long under contract to the US Geological Administration to do a survey. They use lidar to map underground minerals such as lithium and cobalt as well as underground water. So, if they find these rare earth minerals or groundwater on private property what is their next step? eminent domain?
We see a similarity with the Keystone XL pipeline and the ridiculous carbon sequestration pipeline which are privately owned yet empowered with the threat of eminent domain. (For the greater good). There is also a plan by the Department of Energy to construct massive power corridors that can be up to 50 miles wide and hundreds of mile long. This would facilitate wind turbines and solar to go hog wild. Not to mention cryptocurrency mines. Green energy? (For the greater good!)
We need to wake up as to what is going on all around us. It seems we have a target on our back for every land grab imaginable. As seen on the north steps of our Capitol … “The Salvation of the State is the vigilance of the citizens”. Never heard of 30x30? Look it up and do your homework.
