The Board of Trustees of the Village of Clearwater met for a special meeting Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, at 7 p.m., in the fire hall meeting room. Purpose of the meeting was to discuss the fiscal year 2024-2025 budget. Meeting opened at 7 p.m. Notice of Meeting was given in advance by publication in Summerland Advocate-Messenger, was posted at US Post Office in Clearwater, Clearwater Market and Cornerstone Bank-Clearwater and was given to board members prior to meeting. Public was informed of location of Open Meeting Act poster.

Present: Kelly Kerkman, Marsha Hart, Cody Kester, Brian King, Jeff Schlecht. Others present: Angie Hupp, Troy Behnke, Gina Northcutt, LuAnn Schindler.

Discussion held with Gina Northcutt regarding the fiscal year 2024-2025 budget. Troy Behnke and Angie Hupp presented items they wished to see included in the budget including funds for a lawn mower, laptop, security cameras for the village office, accounting software, code book recodification, various repairs for the library/office building, shed at the lagoon and saving funds to replace the library roof when needed.

Discussion held regarding wages for the fiscal year. LuAnn Schindler stated that the library board preferred a wage range for the librarian since they are in the process of hiring a new one.

Approved adjourning meeting at 8:15 p.m.
