Wayne Pollock

Funeral services for Wayne Pollock, 91, of Ewing, will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing, with Father James Kramper officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery with Military rites by Sanders American Legion Post #214. Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. wake service at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing, with Father Frank Baumert.

Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Walter "Wayne" Pollock was born July 7, 1933, to James and Fern (Fisher) Pollock at Ewing. He grew up in Ewing, where he attended school and graduated with the Class of 1951. He enlisted in the United States Army on July 9, 1953, and was discharged May 27, 1955, from Fort Sheridan, Illinois.

On March 2, 1957, he was united in marriage to Patty Judge in O'Neill. He was a gravel pit operator for most of his life. In November 1986, he was united in marriage to Joan Sehi. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and happy hour. He was a member of Sanders Legion Post #214.

Wayne is survived by his children, Dan (Brenda) Pollock of Norfolk; Gwen (Mark) Hobbs of Ewing; Janet (Russ) Sawyer of Ewing; Bill Pollock of Spalding; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Pollock of Brunswick; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in by his parents; son, Jimmy; wife, Patty (1985); brothers, Orval, Norman and Allan; and sister, June.
