Juveniles inuured in single-vehicle accident

Holt County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single-vehicle accident, Sunday, July 21.

At approximately 7 p.m., an 18-year-old male driver and a 15-year-old passenger were northbound on 491 Avenue, just south of 872 Road.

The driver lost control of a 2002 Toyota 4-Runner Limited. The Toyota slid toward the west ditch, entering it, before coming into contact with a driveway embankment, sending the Toyota airborne.

The vehicle landed and rolled, coming to rest on its wheels in the west ditch.

Both individuals were transported to Avera St. Anthony's Hospital in O'Neill, by­ O'Neill Fire and Rescue.

The Toyota was a total loss.

O'Neill Police Department assisted on scene.
