ORDINANCE NO. 2024-2

AN ORDINANCE OF THE Village of Clearwater, NEBRASKA TO SUBMIT TO THE REGISTERED VOTERS OF VILLAGE THE QUESTION OF WHETHER TO ESTABLISH A LOTTERY AT THE 2024 GENERAL ELECTION; TO PROVIDE WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT; AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE IN PAMPHLET FORM.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CHAIRPERSON AND Board of Trustees of the Village of Clearwater, NEBRASKA:

SECTION 1. The following question shall be submitted to the registered voters of the Village of Clearwater during the 2024 General Election:

SHALL the Village of Clearwater, Nebraska establish and conduct a lottery as permitted under the Nebraska County and City Lottery Act for the purpose of community betterment as defined in the Act?

Yes (For such Lottery)

No (Against such Lottery)

SECTION 2. Pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-559, the Village Clerk is authorized to certify the ballot issue set forth in Section 1 above to the Antelope County Clerk.

SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict be and the same hereby are repealed.

SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall be effective from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.

SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form and available for public inspection during normal village office business hours.
