Catherine Alberta Schueth was born on April 19, 1935, to Albert and Catherine "Katie" (Sehi) Schueth. She was the youngest of six children and was raised in the Clearwater area. Alberta, as she was known, married Stanley Price on April 3, 1956, at St. John's Catholic Church, rural Clearwater. They lived in Norfolk for their entire married life. To this union eight children were born, with one daughter, Vicky, passing away at 22 months of age from pneumonia.

Alberta ran a daycare out of the home for many years, raising not only her own children but becoming a second mom to many other kids. Her life centered around her faith and her family. She often helped family members with whatever they needed, whether that was doing laundry for a brother or taking a sister to doctor appointments in Omaha. An avid card player, Alberta enjoyed a night of cards with friends and family, where she usually ended up on the winning team.

Alberta and Stan purchased the Norfolk Nursery in 1972 and ran that for 31 years. She especially enjoyed getting to know the customers. At the nursery, Alberta again was a second mom to some of the younger hired workers and became close friends with some of the older workers. They sold the nursery in 2003, moving into Norfolk. Stanley passed away in 2012. Alberta lived in her own home until March 2023, when she moved into St. Joseph's Care Center.

Alberta is survived by her children: Terry (Pat) Price and Tim (Diane) Price, all of Norfolk; Tom (Nancy) Price of Hickman; Connie (Michael) Bart of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Peggy (Paul) Longmore of Kearney; Bob (Lori) Price of Omaha; and Barb (Dave) Olson of Albion; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, her parents, one daughter, three brothers, and two sisters.

Memorials may be made in her honor to Norfolk Catholic Schools.
