Titans squads fall to Creighton/Bloomfield

SUBMITTED ARTICLE

The Tri-County Titan seniors were back in action Sunday, June 9, at Orchard against Creighton/Bloomfield, where they lost a tight game, 6-8.

Wyatt Shabram took to the mound and threw four innings allowing only one run on two hits and 2 walks, while striking out 11 batters.

The Titan seniors then turned to Jake Schroeder, who allowed five runs in the fifth inning, and A.J. Hobbs, who allowed two runs combined in the sixth and seventh innings on three hits and four walks.

Each team scored a run in the first inning. Tri-County's came from Shabram, with the RBI credited to A.J. Hobbs.

The Titans then scored again in the second inning when Landon Nelson scored due to Connor Thomson's RBI.

Jake Schroeder scored in the fourth, on a Riley Saul RBI.

But Creighton's seven combined runs in the final three innings were too much to overcome, according to Titans skipper Jeff Shabram.

Hobbs scored in the sixth inning on a Landon McAllister RBI fly ball.

Tri-County did try to make things interesting in the seventh when Thomson and Shabram each scored (RBIs credited to Ryan Rifer and Hobbs).

"Credit goes to Creighton/Bloomfield for both excellent pitching and defense in the field. The C/B bats and base running was also aggressive Sunday night," Shabram said.
