Darlene Catherine Schueth was born Nov. 7, 1931, to Ed and Sarah (Veenker) Mock at Madison. She grew up in the Madison and Norfolk area. On May 11, 1954, she was united in marriage to Donald Schueth. To this marriage, they had seven children. Darlene was a very active lady all her life, raising her children; working at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital; being a care person for numerous elderly. Being a farmer's wife, she milked cows, raised stock cows and hogs. She loved music and to go anywhere she could go dancing still in her young age of 80s and that was part of her socializing that she also liked to do. She liked spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We can't forget her red pickup. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and involved in Christian Mothers.

Darlene is survived by her children: Diane (Glenn) Myers of Petersburg; Doug (Beth) Schueth of Ewing; Dean (Sandy) Schueth of Ewing; Deb (John) Johnston of Yankton, South Dakota; Dennis (Rita) Schueth of O'Neill; Duane (Melissa) Schueth of Erie, Pennsylvania; and Don Schueth (Mindy West) of Tempe, Arizona; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Darlene is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Schueth; her parents, Ed and Sarah Mock; sister, Evelyn Price; brother-in-law, Del Price; brother Ed "Toby" Mock; in-laws, Albert and Catherine Schueth.

A special thank you to Dr. Douglas Dilly and the staff of Prairie View Assisted Living in Tilden for going above and beyond for their care of mom, and to Dave, who always got her to her appointments on time.
