Thirty teams compete in booster club golf tournament

Approximately 120 individuals vied for prizes and bragging rights, Saturday, at the Summerland Booster Club Golf Tournament, held at Summerland Golf Course.

Winners of the championship flight, determined by a tiebreaker, included Blake Bollwitt, Mark Steskal, Rita Anson and Josh Napier.

Second place finishers included Tate and Kari Heiss, Dalton Williby and Neil Williby.

In the second flight, Greg McGillivray and company claimed top honors, while Tori Young's team dominated the first flight.

At the conclusion of the tournament, a drawing was held for seven prizes. Winners include Sue Burtwistle, a $350 meat bundle with cooler; Cody Schacht, Calloway Paradym Al Smoke MAX driver, Paul Kester, set of two Cinch 20-ounce copper cups; Bubba Sisson, Pit Boss 36-inch griddle; McGillivray, Yeti 35-quart cooler; Danielle Birch, Bree X Series 27" smokeless fire pit; and Janet Wolfe, Luke Bryan VIP tickets at the CHI Center.

Top booster club student ticket sales went to Belle Anson, first; Charlie Wagner, second; and a tie between Michael Koenig and Dillon Rotherham for third. Students will receive gift certificates

Organizers said, "A huge thank you to all the students who sold tickets, you all did an awesome job."

The tournament committee, comprised of Anson, Napier, Terri Hergert and Aaron Kruger said, "We would like to thank everyone who sponsored, donated items, cash and food, and all the kids and adults who helped out that day of the tournament. It is so great to have a community that is willing to give back to the Summerland athletes."
