Communities plan Memorial Day programs

Summerland communities will honor the men and women have have given their lives while serving the country, Monday, May 27, during Memorial Day services.

Clearwater American Legion Post 267 will gather at 10:30 a.m., at the Elkhorn River Bridge and again at 10:45 at the cemetery. Bret Rix will be the speaker. Curtis Bolling will provide music.

In case of inclemet weather, the event will be held at the Clearwater American Legion at 10:30 a.m.

Ewing Sanders American Legion Post 214 will present its annual program at St. Dominic's Hall at 9:30 a.m. Jacob Hoffman will be guest speaker.

Orchard American Legion Post 136 will hold its service at 10 a.m., at the Orchard Cemetery. At 10:30, they will present a program at the Royal Cemetery.

Legion members will be putting out flags and crosses on graves on Thursday, May 23 at 5:30 p.m. All are invited to help.

Page's Memorial Day service will be held at the Page Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.
