Four Bobcats qualify for state track and field finale
Bailey Ahlers, Ryan Rifer, Alec Schindler and Ruger Switzer will represent Summerland at the 2024 Class C Nebraska School Activities Association Track and Field Championships, this weekend, at Omaha Burke Stadium.
Rifer and Switzer will compete Friday, May 17, at 9:30 a.m., in high jump. Medal presentations for that session's field events will take place at 1:15 p.m.
On Saturday, Ahlers will vie for a high jump medal. Competition begins at 9:30 a.m.
Medal presentations for the Saturday field events' session will begin at 1:15 p.m.
Schindler will compete at 5 p.m., on Saturday, in the second section of timed finals in the 300m hurdles.
Medal presentations will take place at either 5:35 p.m.
Tickets must be purchased online through GoFan, https://gofan.co/app/school/NSAA. Tickets must be on a spectator's phone, either via the app or email for redemption. Printed or paper tickets, as well as screenshots, are not allowed.
For fans without mobile devices, a ticket kiosk will be available at the main entrances and require a debit or credit card purchase.
Shuttle bus service will be free. Pickup will take place at the parking lot at Westroads Shopping Center. Service begins at 11 a.m. and runs through the conclusion of each day's events.
Shuttles will drop off and pick up at the south entrance of Burke Stadium.
Handicap parking spots are available on the east side of the stadium. A handicap permit is required.
Coolers and umbrellas are not allowed in the stadium. No dogs or other pets will be allowed.
Burke Stadium is a tobacco-free facility. Stadium chairs are permitted.
