A scaled-back version of Ewing Summer FunFest will have plenty of fun-filled opportunities for all ages.
This year, all activities, planned by the Ewing Young Members Club, will take place Sunday, May 26.
The morning will start at the Ewing Fire Hall. Volunteer fire and rescue department personnel will serve breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon. A freewill donation will be accepted.
At 10:30 a.m., a community church service will be held at Ewing Full Gospel Church.
"Heroes Among Us" is the theme for this year's parade, which will begin at 1:30 p.m. Entrants are asked to line up at the football field at 1 p.m.

The Hall of Fame presentation will take place on Nebraska Street following the parade. The 2024 honorees are Doris Ann and the late Fred Bollwitt and Marilyn and the late Jimmy Good.
At 3 p.m., kids won't want to miss the ping pong ball drop at Summerland Golf Course. Upon completion, turn in balls collected for fast cash.
A calcutta will begin at 3:30 p.m., followed by the $20,000 Putt for Dough contest, sponsored by EYMC and the $250,000 Hole-In-One Contest, sponsored by KBRX and EYMC.
A barbecue supper will take place between 5 and 7:30 p.m., at the United Methodist-Presbyterian Church.
Listen to Hi-Fi Hangover, one of Omaha's most popular cover bands. The group will rock Ewing at the fire hall, beginning at 8:30 p.m. The band will play until 12:30 a.m.
Admission to the dance is $10 per person. Refunds will not be allowed. Identification will be required for admission. Coolers are not allowed.
A raffle drawing is set to take place at midnight. The grand prize is a GLFA AR15 Wylde .223 Battleworn 16" BBL. The second-place prize is $500 and the third-place winner will receive $250.
