Reliable, Trustworthy Reporting, Capturing The Heartbeat Of Our Community
Big things are happening in the village of Chambers.
In January 2019, a group of 20-plus investors started the Chambers Development Club. The goal of the group is to better the community by cleaning up old properties and bringing in new projects.
"The group hopes to keep projects rolling," said member Heather Tomjack.
The club has completed its first new project, a 1,500 square foot home with three bedrooms, two baths, and a 26 x 30 two-car garage. The home sits on a 153 x 153-foot lot.
Some features in this home include nine-foot ceilings, R22 in the side walls, Cook cabinets, legacy flooring throughout, carpeted bedrooms, a Champion electric furnace with a 50-gallon electric hot water heater, fiberglass exterior doors and black Whirlpool appliances.
The home is located across from the Chambers school football field, at 103 C Street.
An open house is planned for Sunday, April 14, from 2 to 4 p.m.
"Stop in for a peek and have a cookie and refreshments," Tomjack said.
