Bobcat musicians participate in Class C music event

Four Summerland music students - Jennie Mejia, Lenora Kester, Raina Krebs and Jack Heim - represented the school, March 23, at Class C All-State Band, at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.

Mejia, an eight-grade alto sax player, was fifth chair in the junior high band.

Kester, a junior, was selected as fourth chair in the wind ensemble.

Krebs, a junior, was picked for sixth chair in the symphonic band.

Heim, a seventh-grader, played baritone, first chair, in the junior high band.

Emily Heithoff serves as instructor for the junior-senior high music program.
