Funeral services for Alice J. Rittscher, 80 of Clearwater, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 30, at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater, with Rev. Peter Jark-Swain officiating.

Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Neligh.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 29, at Snider Memorial Funeral Home.

Alice died Monday, March 25, 2024, at Battle Creek Community Pride Care Center.

Alice Joan Rittscher was born July 11, 1943, to Alfred and Clara (Scott) Brodersen at Norfolk. She attended Neligh High School and graduated with the class of 1962. She attended Wayne State College.

On July 19, 1964, she was united in marriage to Allan Rittscher at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Neligh. They made their home south of Clearwater. She worked at the Antelope Clerk of District Court, she also worked at Coast-to-Coast in Neligh. She became Alan’s helper in many ways, cooking many meals, handy pack coolers and taking care of sickly animals. Alice enjoyed many things: Diet Pepsi, slot machines, trips to Vegas, camping and watching football at all levels. Alice enjoyed playing pranks and they may have involved a few fireworks. Spending time with her grandkids and spoiling them was the best thing in her life. Alice was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and a reader.

She is survived by sons Kevin (Sonia) Rittscher of Elgin and Ryan (Rachel) Rittscher of Sheridan, Wyoming; grandchildren Hannah (Travis) Martin of Arvada, Colorado; Whitney Rittscher of Denver, Colorado; Gracie and ginance’ Adam Dreger of Lincoln; Trey Rittscher of Elgin; Raine Rittscher of Ceresco; and Rafe Rittscher of Sheridan, Wyoming; brothers and sisters, Bendt (Arlene) Brodersen of Bend, Oregon; Ruth Brodersen of Aurora, Colorado; brother-in-law Ronnie (Judy) Rittscher of Gothenburg; sisters-in-law Sharalyn (Rich) Wells of Neligh, Shirley Rittscher of Elgin and Brenda Rittscher of Clearwater.

Alice was preceded in death by parents; husband; and brother, Tom Brodersen.
