Roberta "Bobbie" Patras

Funeral services for Roberta "Bobbie" Patras, 98, of Clearwater will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday March 21, at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater, with Pastor Bruce Phillips, officiating.

Burial will be in Clearwater Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater.

Bobbie died March 17, 2024, at Arbor Care Center in Neligh, surrounded by all her kids.

Roberta Lucille Patras was born Nov. 4, 1925, to Elmer and Helen (Havenstrite) Anderson at Oxnard, California. She was grew up in Bakersfield, California. She graduated from high school in Los Angeles in 1943, she attended college for two years at LACC and received her arts degree and also attended two years college at the Arts Center.

On Feb. 13, 1949, she was united in marriage to Walter Patras in Los Angeles, California. Walt was in the United States Marine Corp. They lived in California and South Carolina until moving back to his home town of Clearwater, Nebraska, in 1964, to raise their five children.

Bobbie worked at an ad Agency in Los Angeles, but most of all, she was a stay-at-home mom, always willing to help in the community. She was a member of Clearwater Legion Auxiliary for 60 years, Clearwater Methodist Church and recently switched to Neligh Faith Community Church. She enjoyed reading, her flowers, traveling and doing crafts. Bobbie really enjoyed spending her time with family and their camping and fishing trips to Merritt. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Bobbie is survived by her children: Kathleen (Steve) Patras of Clearwater; Donald (Nancy) Patras of Columbus; Linda (Steve) Hankla of Clearwater; Walter (Rosie) Patras of Tilden; and Richard (Jeannie) Patras of Mason City, Iowa; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and brother in infancy.
