The Bobcat girls' wrestling team got off to a hot start, Thursday, as they claimed the top spot at the Summerland triangular.
The Bobcats controlled Wisner-Pilger, winning the first dual 66-6 and defeated Wayne, 54-30, in the nightcap.
In the opening dual, the Bobcats earned two wins. Savannah Gallagher pinned Bella Thacker, in one minute in a match in the 120-pound division. Abbey Chipps, competing in the 130-pound class, earned a win by pin, in 1:53, over Jocelyn Russman.
Wrestlers earning wins by forfeit included Amor Zermeno, 105; Ava Cleveland, 110; Lenora Kester, 115; Gracie Mudloff, 125; Abby Arroyo, 135; Kaylee Thiele, 140; Jadyn Hobbs, 145; Ammy Arroyo, 190 and Raina Krebs, 235.
W-P's lone win came from Adelle Russman, who won by forfeit in the 100-pound division.
Both teams forfeited matches at 155 and 170.
Against Wayne, seven girls picked up wins.
At 110, Yazlin Zermeno pinned Yessenia Alba in 3:04.
Cleveland pinned Edmy Balux, in 4:57, in the 115-pound division.
Kester made short work of Megan Magnuson in a 120-class match, winning by fall in 1:07.
Gallagher won by fall, in 3:00, over Macy Wilson. They faced off in the 125-category.
At 130, Mudloff pinned Kaylei McIntosh in 1:51.
Thiele took 2:27 to pin Cici Stashkiw-Risor in a 140-division match.
Arroyo won, by fall, in 2:30, over Kadence Rees in a 190-class match.
Two Bobcats lost matches, including Amor Zermeno, who was pinned in 1:33, in 105-class action. Chipps was pinned, in 1:02, by Nyla Bolles. The two faced off in the 135-class.
Krebs, 235, and Hobbs, 145, won by forfeit.
Blue Devil wrestlers Essynce Webb, 100 class; Cloey Young, 155 division and Anna Naeve, 170, picked up wins by forfeit.
