The Bobcat JV volleyball team won one and lost one at the Battle Creek JV triangular, held Oct. 9.
The first match saw Summerland outlast Pierce in a three-set match, 25-23, 18-25, 15-12.
Lenora Kester led the attack with five kills, followed by Abbey Chipps, with four. Abryelle Kester had three blocks.
Leah Wiese went 10 for 10 from the service line and Kaylee Thiele was perfect, landing six serves.
In the game against Battle Creek, Summerland fell, 9-25 and 15-25.
Five service errors, a high for the season, kept the Bobcats in a hole the complete match, according to coach Bill Tabbert.
Jaycee Reynolds and Wiese each had one kill. Lenora Kester added two to the cause.
Kenzie Sanne had a block, as did Abryelle Kester.
“The tough Battle Creek serving caused the Bobcats to be unable to mount any serious offensive threat the entire game,” Tabbert said.
