AMH nurse named to top Nebraska Nurses 40 list

On Oct. 7, Savannah Henn, BSN, RN, certified rofessional in healthcare quality, of Antelope Memorial Hospital, was recognized at the Nebraska Nurses Association annual convention as a 40 Under 40 awardee at the Cornhusker Hotel in Lincoln. She has been employed at AMH for five years and currently serves as utilization review/HIPAA/quality coordinator and corporate compliance RN.

As a joint recognition, the Nebraska Organization of Nursing Leadership and the Nebraska Nurses Association selected 40 nurses under 40 years of age who are currently licensed as an RN or LPN from across the state. The awardees are young nurses who provide exceptional leadership within their profession.

"There are a lot of publications and organizations nationwide that do similar nominations each year," said NNA executive director, Kim Houtwed. "We wanted our nominees to stand apart as a group of young professionals who significantly or uniquely contribute to leadership within the nursing profession through clinical practice, education and teaching, administrative leadership, research, writing/publishing, policy involvement/self-governance and/or healthcare innovation. Additionally, they positively promote and advance the nursing profession in the community through volunteerism or outreach efforts and are involved in local/state/organizational policy development or legislative work."

"Savannah has displayed outstanding leadership in her many roles at Antelope Memorial Hospital," said Diane Brugger, AMH chief executive officer. "She works closely with her co-workers and our providers in delivering quality care to our patients. She also guides and directs policies for maintaining patient privacy and following corporate compliance regulations. We are very fortunate to have Savannah on our AMH team."
