XC team shows improvement at Crofton

Conditions were nearly perfect, Monday, as the Bobcat junior and senior high cross country teams traveled to Crofton.

Carlee Livingston ran the 5K course in 27:16.02, finishing 16th, just out of medal contention. Savanah Gallagher ran 30:49.25, ending 20th.

In the high school boys' division, Zender Cepel placed 31st, running 23:29.49.

Junior high students competed in a mixed two-mile run.

Cadi Soper finished 26th in the girls' division, running 11:19.53.

Kiptyn Belzer ran the course in 10:58.62, placing 28th. Jorden Cox finished in 11:48.13, ending in 30th, while Isaac Meyer crossed the finish line in 13:54.62. He placed 32nd.

Both teams travel to Battle Creek, Friday, Sept. 29, for the BC Invite. Races begin at 11 a.m.

On Oct. 5, Summerland will host the Niobrara Valley Conference cross country meet at Summerland Golf Course. Events begin at 4 p.m.
