VILLAGE OF CLEARWATER
AN ORDINANCE OF THE Village of Clearwater, NEBRASKA TO AMEND TRASH SERVICE RATES; TO REPEAL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; TO PROVIDE WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT; AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE IN PAMPHLET FORM.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CHAIRPERSON AND Board of Trustees of the Village of Clearwater, NEBRASKA:
SECTION 1. That there shall be, and there hereby is, established a garbage pickup service charge for the use of and for the service supplied by the Village of Clearwater, Antelope County, Nebraska, based on monthly rates for residential and commercial properties. The charges shall be billed monthly and are based on one tote for each resident or business or one dumpster for commercial. The monthly rate applicable for monthly garbage pickup service provided shall be as follows:
Residential properties - monthly rate of $21.00
Commercial properties - monthly rate of $25.00
Senior citizens (65 and older) - monthly rate of $18.00
Additional totes/dumpsters - monthly rate of $5.00 ea.
All residential consumers who are at least sixty-five (65) years of age shall supply verified proof of age on forms provided by the Village of Clearwater. Otherwise, said customers shall be charged the regular rate for residential properties.
In lieu of the above rates, a customer with both residential and commercial trash services may pay a flat monthly rate of $46.00 for service at one residence and one commercial location to be charged to the business.
One tote will be provided by Bud’s Sanitary Service to each pick-up location except for commercial properties that already maintain a dumpster. Totes are to remain at the location where they are delivered. The village may provide an additional tote if required, at a cost of $5.00/month per tote. Up to three are allowed per property.
Garbage pickup service provided through the Village of Clearwater shall be by contract established by and between the Village of Clearwater and Bud’s Sanitary Service to provide said service.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict be and the same hereby are repealed.
SECTION 3. That three-fourths of the Board of Trustees voted to suspend the requirement that this ordinance be read by title on three different days.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall be effective from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
SECTION 5. That this ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form and available for public inspection during normal village office business hours.
