JV netters finish 2-0 at double triangular

On Saturday, Sept. 9, the Bobcat junior varsity volleyball team played at St. Mary's in O'Neill. In the double triangular, the Summerland team played Neligh-Oakdale and Niobrara-Verdigre.

The first match, against N-O, saw Summerland win, 25-19 and 25-23. The Bobcats served 90% and had six ace serves, with Jaycee Reynolds recording four of the aces.

Lenora Kester had a perfect game, serving 12 for 12, with an ace.

Abryelle Kester had four kills and Abbey Chipps added three.

Defensively, Kaylee Thiele led with 20 digs, while Ava Rittscher added 15, Reynolds dug eight and Karly Dawkins, seven.

Kenzie Sanne finished with 12 set assists.

Chipps, Beatrize Milkem and Charlee Wagner each hit .333 for the game.

The second match of the morning was against N/V. Once again, the Bobcats came out on top, winning 25-20 and 25-9.

In this match, Sanne went 17 for 17, with two ace serves.

Lenora Kester and Rittscher were also 100% srvers.

The team served 91.6% in the match.

Abryelle Kester had three kills, while Chipps and Dawkins each finished with two kills.

The defense was led by Thiele, who had 19 digs and Reynolds, who finished with five.

"Coach Tabbert and Coach Birch were very pleased with how the entire team played and worked as a unit," the coaches said.
