Cross country teams miss out on medals

Bobcat cross country team members returned home, Thursday, without any medals from the Boyd County Cross Country Invite.

Yet, the young runners continue to show improvement, according to head coach Shannon Schumacher.

Carlee Livingston finished 17th and Savannah Gallagher, 24th, respectively, in the girls' division. Livingston crossed the finish line in 25.13, while Gallager ran 28.33.

Zander Cepel ended 24th in the boys' division, running 22:48.

Three junior high boys competed. Kiptyn Belzer ended in 16th, running 14:21 and Jorden Cox ran 14:31, placing 17th. Isaac Meyer ended in 17:56, landing in 18th place.

In the junior high girls' division, Cadi Soper completed the course in 14:32, placing 16th.

The junior high and high school teams travel to O'Neill, Friday, for the O'Neill Invitational. First race starts at 3:30 p.m., at the O'Neill Country Club.
