Every Monday, Trista Hemmenway stops at the Kidz Corner Clubhouse Daycare in Clearwater to read a book and do theme-related activities with children there.
Every Friday, from 1 to 4 p.m., Kenzie Sanne is at the library ready to take on anybody who wants to challenge her in a game or just play with the new Makerspace activities and toys.
Craft kits are available at the Clearwater Market. They are for any anyone who is interested in the kit. New ones are added every seven to 10 days.
Parents who are concerned their little one needs to practice some basic skills of sorting colors, shapes or letters or needs to work on fine-motor skills, are encouraged to check out activity kits the library offers. Kits are available for checkout for home use. A complete list is available on the library's new online catalog at libib.com/u/clearwaterpublic.
"Visit the Clearwater Library website at clearwaterpubliclibrary.org, use the summer program tab, patrons will find links to multiple activities for kids and even a scavenger hunt for the adults," said the library director.
There are prizes for all of it, including Kindness BINGO, reading log and two scavenger hunts. Prize for the adult scavenger hunt is a chance to win one of two gifts cards, from Hi-Way Mart or Clearwater Market.
