MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING
VILLAGE OF Ewing BOARD OF TRUSTEES
May 22, 2023
The Ewing Village Board of Trustees convened for a special session on May 22, 2023, at 7 p.m., at the city hall. Notice of the meeting was published May 10, 2023, and May 17, 2023, in the “Summerland Advocate-Messenger.” The purpose of the meeting is to provide the opportunity for the public to comment on the Village of Ewing application to USDA Rural Development for financial assistance in the amount of a $50,000.00 grant for the purchase of a payloader. An agenda was kept current and on file at the village clerk’s office.
Chairman James Ramold called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Notice was given to the posted location of the open meetings law.
Board members present were Dustin Jorgensen, Dustin Wright and James Ramold. Absent were Kane Fry and Katie Cunningham. Also present were LuAnn Schindler with the “Summerland Advocate-Messenger” and Sharon Swails.
Discussion was had on the grant application and the purchase of a new payloader.
Motion by Jorgensen, seconded by Wright, to approve Resolution #422, authorizing the chairperson and the clerk of the Village of Ewing, Ewing, Nebraska, to execute documents required to receive United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development financial assistance. Voting aye: Jorgensen, Wright, Ramold. Nay: none. Abstain: none. Absent: Cunningham, Fry. Motion carried.
Motion by Jorgensen, seconded by Wright, to adjourn. Voting aye: Jorgensen, Wright, Ramold. Nay: none. Abstain: none. Absent: Cunningham, Fry. Motion carried.
