Two Lady Bobcats returned to Summerland with two medals from the 2023 Dan Lennon Track Invitational, held at the University of South Dakota, in Vermillion, March 28.
Senior standout Hadley Cheatum, a USD track commit for next season, earned bronze in the 60m hurdles, finishing in 9.88. She placed fifth in the 400m, running 1:02.86.
Bailey Ahlers finished fourth in high jump, clearing five feet.
In the majority of events, more than 100 athletes participated in the Class B division, featuring schools from Nebraska, South Dakota and Iowa.
Raina Krebs finished 14th in shot put, with a throw of 32 feet.
Adyson Mlnarik threw 28' 5, finishing in 34th place and Kenzie Sanne landed in 63rd with a throw of 23' 10.25.
The 1600 girls' sprint medley, comprised of Yazlin Zermeno, Talya Nilson, Lenora Kester and Karley Dawkins finished in 43rd place, with a time of 5:25.52.
The 4x200 team, featuring Jaycee Reynolds, Cheatum, Caydence Schumacher and Lydia Robertson, ran 2:02.19, landing in 24th place.
Schumacher finished seventh in triple jump, with a leap of 30' 7.5 and in high jump, she ended in eighth place, clearing 4' 8.
Ellie Dougherty competed in two events. She ran 1:20.07 in the 400m, placing 82nd. She did not record a mark in long jump.
Irelyn Bearinger ran the 800m in 3:14.40, finishing 50th. In the 1600m, she crossed the finish line in 7:13.70, placing 49th.
In the 800m, Shaylie Kester ran 3:47.07, finishing in 50th place. In the 1600m, Kester placed 63rd, running 7:58.13.
Dawkins competed in the 1600m and finished in 55th place. She ended with a time of 7:24.60.
In the 60m hurdles, Lenora Kester finished 40th, running 11.40 and Preslie Robertson ran 11.66, ending in 48th place.
Ashley Pischel finished in 25th place in high jump. She cleared 4' 6.
Lydia Robertson finished ninth in triple jump, reaching 29' 8.75 and Reynolds placed 17th. She jumped 27' 6.5.
In long jump, Ella Bolling reached 11' 11.5 to finished 53rd. Kenna Brabec competed but did not record a mark.
