Applications accepted for Holt County leadership program

Holt County’s HomeTown Leadership Institute will begin Wednesday, March 15.

All Holt County residents who have an interest in expanding professional and personal leadership skills and learning more about the people, businesses and organizations that grow Holt County are encouraged to apply. Join the 2023 HomeTown Leadership Institute to be inspired to build a stronger rural community and continue to grow Holt County.

Sessions focus on the areas of strengths-based leadership; economic development and housing; local government; agriculture; education; entrepreneurship; health, wellness, and human services; community foundations, nonprofits, and volunteerism.

HomeTown Leadership Institute generally meets every second Wednesday of each month from March through October. Sessions run from approximately 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with meeting locations held throughout Holt County.

Tuition for the 2023 HomeTown Leadership Institute is $200, scholarship opportunities may be available to cover tuition.

Applications are due March 1, and can be found online at growholt.com/programs-services/hometown-leadership-institute/ or at the Holt County Economic Development office at the O’Neill Depot Building, 330 E. Hancock Street in O’Neill.
