Bobcats survive upset-minded Knights

It came down to the final seconds of Thursday's game before Summerland picked up its eighth win this season.

The Bobcats defeated North Central, 47-46.

The Knights led the entire contest until, with :41.8 seconds remaining, Raden Orton's shot bounced off the rim and Michael Koenig landed the rebound.

The Bobcats played keep away for nearly half a minute, until Koenig drove the baseline with 13 seconds left to score on a 10-foot jumper.

The Knights Carson Anderson sent a shot toward the basket with three seconds remaining, but it bounced off the front of the rim and allowed the Bobcats to walk off the court with the win.

The Bobcats hit five of 23 3-point attempts and finished at 42% from the 2-point range.

Koenig led Summerland with 22 points. Jaykown Petite ended with 15 points.

Defensively, Alec Schindler grabbed 10 rebounds and had five steals.
