It came down to the wire, but Summerland's boys' basketball team survived a late surge from West Holt to earn the championship title at Summerland's Holiday Tourney.
Thursday's 42-38 overtime win propels the Bobcats to 7-0 on the season.
The Bobcats held a one-point lead at the end of the first quarter and the teams were knotted at 19 at the half.
West Holt held a 27-24 lead at the third quarter, but Summerland scored 10 in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 34.
In the bonus quarter, Summerland outscored the Huskies, 8-4, to pick up the win.
Jaykwon Petite led the Cats, scoring 14 points and Michael Koenig led the team in rebounds.
To advance to the tournament final, the Bobcats needed a win against CWC. When the teams met Dec. 28, the Bobcats relied on strong second and third quarter performances to secure the 49-25 win.
Sam Cheatum scored 18 points and Petite added 15.
Alec Schindler, Kellen Mlnarik and Koenig each pulled down five rebounds.
