This month, Antelope Memorial Hospital is recognized as a winner of the 2022 Performance Leadership Award for excellence in patient perspective as part of the National Rural Health Day celebration. Compiled by The Chartis Center for Rural Health, the Performance Leadership Award honors top-quartile performance of75th percentile or above among rural hospitals in quality, outcome and patient perspective.

"We are honored to receive this prestigious award," said Diane Brugger, chief executive officer of Antelope Memorial Hospital. "The Performance Leadership Awards are based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital performance INDEX™, the industry's most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. INDEX data is trusted and relied upon by rural hospitals, health systems with rural footprints, hospital associations and state offices of rural health across the country to measure and monitor performance across several areas impacting hospital operations and finance."

This award truly reflects the hospital's commitment to provide health care excellence for our patients, added Brugger, adding the facility's focus is to stay up-to-date with the latest healthcare strategies while remaining dedicated to the patient's overall care and best interests.

"Although the last two years have placed unprecedented pressure on the rural health safety net, the dedication to serving the community that we're so accustomed to seeing from rural hospitals hasn't wavered," said Michael Topchik, national leader of The Chartis Center for Rural Health. "Let us celebrate the power of 'rural' on National Rural Health Day and honor the facilities working tirelessly to provide access to high quality healthcare services to their communities."

Antelope Memorial Hospital offers medical care to approximately 8,000 area residents, located in Antelope County and surrounding areas. The population served is for all ages, ranging from newborns to the elderly. An emphasis is placed in meeting the patients' medical-care needs with professionalism and compassion, close to home.
