Summerland School students will explain what veterans mean to them during a Veterans Day program, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 11, at 10:30 a.m.
Area veterans, as well as the public, are invited to attend Friday's ceremony in the Summerland School gym.
The student-led program will include the "Star Spangled Banner," performed by Lenora Kester and Adrienne Parker, recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance, presentations by members of the American government class, musical tribute by the school's band and choir and a talk by Girls' State representative, Faith King.
