Clearwater Public Library plans festivities for community event

Christmas is coming and Clearwater Public Library is making plans to provide its annual craft table for kids during the Old-Fashioned Christmas, planned for Dec. 4.

Additionally, two fundraisers are being offered for the library and help is requestion.

A gold ole' cake walk will take place. Consider donating a cake or other baked goods. Call or text Library Director Kathy Feusse or sign up at Clearwater Market. Bring baked goods to the old-fashioned Christmas or make arrangements to have items picked up. Baked goods should be in disposable pans or plates, unless the plate is part of the donation.

A kids' shopping corner will be avaiable.

Feusse said, "This special shop will be available for your children to buy gifts for their loved ones. Everything will cost $5 or less. Library personnel will help children shop and wrap gifts so the present remains a secret."

Donations of new or like-new items will be accepted. Ideas for women include candles, lotion, jewelry, kitchen gadgets, jigsaw puzzles, chocolate, popcorn, cooking items and gloves.

For men, consider donating snack foods, small tools, pens, decks of cards, a mug with candy, flashlight, hand warmers or socks.

Childrens' gift ideas include small toys, crayons, coloring books, sticker books, story books kid-friendly snacks, hair accessories, jewelry or games.

Donations may be dropped off at the library during business hours or at Feusse's residence, next to Concordia Lutheran Church.

"You can also call me and I will gladly pick up your items," she said.
