Challenge accepted: Columnist seeks ideas for new feature

Brooke Ross, of Page, has joined the SAM newspaper team and is excited to add an additional column.

Ross said, "This particular column is actually quite unique."

Ross is asking you, our readers, to either volunteer or nominate someone you think has a great story to tell.

"I want a challenge, I want to learn and I am excited to get started. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, daycare provider, law enforcement officer, farmer, rancher, restaurant owner or any other profession, I want to not only get to know you, but also spend some time learning about what each and every one of you do daily. Often times, we don't always understand the day-to-day routine of each other's lives," Ross said.

Let Ross spend a day with you, getting to know you, shadowing you and learning exactly what it is you do from sun up to sun down.

Once a list of different occupations is compiled, Ross will contact you to schedule a time to meet with you.

You need not worry; Brooke owns coveralls and mud boots, as well as dress clothes and heels. She has made it clear that whatever it is you do, she is willing to lend a hand while learning all about it.

Retired? That's perfect, too. Maybe you have an interesting past with a story to tell. Ross is all ears for that as well.

"Let's get this column rolling and learn all about each other, our small town lives and communities," she said.
