Plenty of fun for all ages planned in Page

The 2022 edition of Page community day, Saturday, Aug. 6, will highlight activities for youth and add several opportunities for adults to join in the fun.

At 9 a.m., the annual trap shoot will begin. Participants and those wanting to view the competition are asked to follow the signs to the location.

At 11 a.m., youngsters can dig for buried treasure at the sand dig, which will be held at the sand volleyball courts.

Kountry Korner Cafe will host a cookout in the park, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Looking for great stuff at bargain prices? Don't miss the flea market, a new event planned for Saturday. From noon until 4 p.m., vendors will be set up south of the fire hall.

Hop aboard the kids' barrel train for a ride around town. The train will run throughout the day.

Watermelon will be served in the park, beginning at 1 p.m.

At the same time, the kids' bike parade will take place on Main Street. A bicycle giveaway will take place at the conclusion of the parade.

Registration for the cornhole tournament will run from 1 to 1:30 p.m., on the north side of Kountry Korner Cafe. All players must be at least 18 years old. Competition will begin at 2 p.m. For more information, contact Matt at 402-336-7267 or Heath at 402-340-1755.

A beer garden will be on site of the cornhole tournament.

Kountry Korner Cafe will be open from 3 to 8 p.m. A limited menu will be available.

Members of the Page Fire and Rescue Department will compete in waterfights, beginning at 2 p.m. At the conclusion of the fight, youths can test their skills at the obstacle course.

Two events will begin at 2:30. turtle races will take place and a free throw competition will be held on Bec's Court.

Take a chance to win a cake or plate of goodies at the cake walk, which will start at 3 p.m.

From 5 to 7 p.m., a pulled-pork supper will be served at the fire hall. The Isom family will prepare the meat and serve potato salad, beans and chips. A freewill donation will be accepted.

The Advocate-Messenger will host the road rally. Registration will begin at 6:30 at the fire hall. The route takes approximately one hour. Participants are asked to return from the route by 8:30. A $20 entry fee will be charged, with all proceeds paid to the top three teams.

KBRX will be onsite from 7 to 9 p.m. for cruise night. Check out the classic cars and listen to music on Main Street.

Area Boy Scouts will be cooking and serving Dutch oven desserts from 7 to 9 p.m.

At 9 p.m., The Ren & Red Show will perform on the north side of the cafe.

A kids' movie will be shown in the park, starting at 9 p.m.
