Bobcat tracksters invited to track classic

Summerland track and field teams will be represented Thursday at the 28th annual Northeast Nebraska Track and Field Classic.

Hadley Cheatum will compete in two events. At 6:20 p.m., she will run the 400m.

Cheatum qualified with the second fastest time, 60.03. Laney Kathol, of Hartington Center Catholic leads the field, with a time of 58.85.

At 6:45 p.m., Cheatum will lead the field in the 300m hurdles. She enters as the top seed, at 47.85.

Trevor Thomson qualified in two individual events.

At 5:30 p.m., Thomson will run the 100m. He qualified with a time of 11.17 and is seeded seventh. West Holt's Caid McCart enters with the top time of 10.97.

Thomson will run the 200m at 7:15 p.m. With a qualifying time of 22.83, Thomson enters as the fourth seed. Kaleh Krohn, of Norfolk, leads the field, with a time of 22.64.

Thomson also qualified as a part of the 4x100 team, along with Keegan Smith, Kendrick Schroeder and Jaykwon Petite.

The relay team enters competition with a time of 45.99. Norfolk High leads the field, running 43.67.

The 4x100 will run at 6:10 p.m.

Classic events will begin at 4:45 p.m.
